ITEM'S DESCRIPTION | RARE | Lot of 7 vintage comics from Spain. This lot will include issues #19, 21, 24, 26, 28, 30, and 37. These comics were imported and distributed within the Mexican market (through newsstands) and feature an interesting '80 Centavos Mexicanos' (80 mexican cents) price stamp on the cover. Here's a complete and very well-datailed explanation of this collection, taken from a 'The Phantom' fansite (credit to the author): 

'Colección Heroes Modernos Presenta El Hombre Enmascarado' (which translates as Modern Heroes Collection Presents The Phantom) is a series published by Editorial Dólar in Madrid, Spain, from 1958 to 1959. 60 issues of the series were published, under the title 'El Hombre Enmascarado' (the name for Phantom in Spain), and were released weekly. Editorial Dólar published three comic series featuring the Phantom under the title "Colección Héroes Modernos" (Modern Heroes Collection), this being the first of the three. Colección Héroes Modernos (Modern Heroes Collection) was published in landscape format, measuring 29.5 cm x 20 cm, and containing 16 black and white pages with matte coloring visible only on the outer covers. The first four issues of the series are titled "Colección Héroes Modernos: El Hombre Enmascarado" (Modern Heroes Collection: The Masked Man) and feature only Phantom comic strips. From issue #5 to issue #60, the title "Colección Héroes Modernos Presents El Hombre Enmascarado" (Modern Heroes Collection Presents The Masked Man) is printed, with Flash Gordon comic strips appearing alongside the Phantom comic strips in these issues. All 56 issues also feature the wording "And Flash Gordon" on the front covers. 

Please note that these copies are extremely thin and delicate, as they were printed on very thin paper. Please note that issue #28 has stains on the front and back covers. The copies are generally in excellent condition considering their age and characteristic fragility. There are no torn, scratched, torn, or missing pages; this is a very beautiful lot and in excellent condition. VERY GOOD / EXCELLENT CONDITION (Depending on who's judging).
